FOUNDING STORY
As a Registered Nurse of over 25 years, I am and have been dedicated to making a positive impact and effecting change in the healthcare industry in any way I can. Over the years I've considered creating my own line of scrubs as I've always struggled to find sets that fit and flattered my tall stature—but my focus on providing quality care and leadership left me with insufficient time and energy to devote to such a project.
To that end, it made the most sense to collaborate with my daughter who went to college for fashion design and business to help launch my brand. Through the combination of her stylish expertise, my considerable experience in the medical field and my need for scrubs that complement my professional image, Luminary was born.
It's no secret that when you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you're motivated to go out in the world ready to pursue your goals and tackle anything in your way. In the healthcare industry specifically, a positive first impression is important in fostering a caring and therapeutic relationship with patients.
